2016 Marks the 39th year Rapid City has hosted the Black Hills Stock Show & Rodeo.
Who would have thought when the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center opened in 1977, that the Black Hills Stock Show & Rodeo would become one of the premiere events in the tri-state region attracting more than 300,000 customers. The all-time attendance record was set in 2008 when 320,000 people came in and out of the Civic Center doors during the event.
The 2015 Stock Show attracted visitors from 42 states and 3 countries generating an estimated direct spending impact of $20,701,200. The show features the region’s largest trade show offering a variety of products including jewelry, clothing, agricultural products, equipment and everything western. It also offers PRCA rodeos, Extreme Bulls, livestock sales, competitions and mores.
The Black Hills Stock Show and Rodeo is one of the top five PRCA rodeos in the country featuring around 700 athletes, award-winning announcers and clowns. Don’t miss the 2016 Black Hills Stock Show & Rodeo January 29 – February 6th at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center.
