Todd’s Summer Wrap-Up

Wow summer is already over. My to do list just kept getting longer as the days went by faster. I had so many things that I wanted to get done but didn’t. My thought is, Life is short, enjoy yourself while you can! My list will still be there tomorrow.

My wife and I spent some time riding our Harleys. Not as much as I would have liked to but still enjoyed the times we went out, even if it was only a short run to town. I traveled more this summer than I have in years, mostly to North Dakota. Weddings and funerals kept me running from the middle of July to Labor Day weekend. It was nice to see family members that I hadn’t seen in years. My wife and I enjoyed a bus tour in North Dakota visiting a few buffalo ranches and touring the processing plant in New Rockford, North Dakota. We have a few head of buffalo and it is always interesting to see how large ranches run their operations.

In the middle of September my brother, nephew and myself spent an exciting weekend in Pierre fishing. We used to fish a lot before he moved away 10 years ago and had been planning this trip for several months. We caught some nice walleye, trout, catfish and one nice salmon. My nephew wasn’t happy with me, as I was the one that caught the only salmon. He’ll get over it. We are planning another trip back to Pierre next summer. Can’t wait!

Now it’s time to move onto the new season, fall and winter. I love to hunt and hockey season has started. My to-do list will just have to wait until next summer.  Enjoy!
