Megan Batteen, President

Megan joined the Midwest Marketing team in 2010 and currently serves as our President. Prior to that, Megan worked at the local NBC affiliate as an Account Executive during her first “real” job after graduating college. She graduated from Black Hills State University in May of 2008 with a Bachelors in Business Administration and a Minor in Tourism & Hospitality Management. She was also involved with the Tourism & Hospitality Club and collegiate cheerleading while at BHSU.

She specializes in strategic marketing planning for a variety of business verticals such as dealerships, non-profits, tourism & hospitality, events, and many more. Megan’s expertise in a wide variety of marketing areas provides us with the ability to serve a diverse client base with innovative marketing strategies. On the day-to-day, she is a jack of all trades, from meetings to planning, to checking analytics and script writing, and everything in between. Her favorite part of her job is being able to work with a variety of clients and personalities as well as a variety of marketing and creative mediums. She is Google certified and is currently completing her Meta certification coursework.

Megan has been involved in various aspects of the American Advertising Federation-Black Hills since 2017, serving on the Board of Directors, and currently serving on the American Advertising Awards and Programs Committees. When she isn’t working, you can find her in Deadwood, camping, or playing tourist around the Black Hills with her husband Nathan. Megan is also a proud “dog mom” to her German Wirehaired Pointer, Remi.

When I am not at work, you can find me…..

Camping in the Hills with my husband- and doing pretty much outdoor activity, fishing, golfing, traveling and playing with my dog! What you will not find me doing is cooking!
